The Website..
When I look at the website I see some good aspects but also some bad ones, IOW is an iconic well known festival and I strongly think that their website should show off just how amazing the festival is. With so much going on at the event such as open air concert, fun fair rides, yoga, camping, and stalls I don't think this website sells the whole brand.
I like that there is an enter page to get on to the actual site but I think they could have done so much more with it there seems to be a lot of wasted space. Its cool how its illustrated but I don't like what they created, again I don't think it fits the brand.
Fonts
I do like that the fonts are so big and bold, the user will know they're on the right site, having said this I don't like the chosen type I think there are much better font styles that could replace this as the font they're currently using looks a bit old. I think the stroke around the font text make's the whole thing look very amateur in my opinion, yes it may help the words stand out and look bold on the page but too me it looks a bit boring, The designer would have done this in about 3 seconds using one click to get the stroke effect, so obviously they didn't spend much time over it.
Colours
Looking at the colours of the website its obvious that theres supposed to be a beach effect going on with the blue at the top with a few faint clouds, the waves in the middle, the light brown at the bottom representing the sand and the little submarine with the countdown numbers on it. I think the idea is basic and too simple I don't think it appeals to their target audience. When I go onto their website I don't look at it and say "WOW, thats so cool" I'm more like "okay then.."
Navigation
I think the website is easy to naviate, there is a navigation bar is along the top just under the heading and it is all labeled clearly, I think anyone of the majority of ages would be able to work the website easily.
Im not sure when the last time their website was updated but I think it's due an upgrade. Its 2014 and this website looks like it was made in 2004. The website should be modernised and made more current to fit the target audience a bit like the coachella website.
